We’re always monitoring marketing metrics on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. Much of this activity occurs behind the scenes for the benefit of our clients. However, quarterly marketing reports help the practices we serve understand what we have been doing on their behalf and what results our efforts have produced.

Understanding quarterly marketing reports from Catalyst

Each quarter, the Catalyst team provides three marketing reports to our clients. These reports summarize pay-per-click (PPC) ad performance, social media activity and Google Analytics for the previous quarter. These reports also contain our recommendations for marketing changes going forward.

Here’s a summary of what you can find in each quarterly report from Catalyst.

  • Google Analytics provides information about metrics like the number of users on the website, how many views the site received, how long users spent on the site and where the users live. The report shows how much these figures have increased or decreased over time.
  • PPC ad performance tells clients how many people their PPC ads reached, the click through rate, what devices people saw the ads on and how the PPC ads generally performed. It also provides a list of the top converting keywords for each advertising campaign.
  • Social media performance provides data about user engagement on different social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. It also shows examples of how specific posts performed and provides recommendations for features a client could use on social media going forward.

Touching base every quarter

After we send the marketing reports to our clients, we arrange a time to speak with them. This is a time for us to break down everything in the report. It also allows us to discuss marketing changes we can make based on the reports and what the client is seeing in the practice.
