Shannon Flynn

Utilizing her experience with healthcare copywriting, copyediting and content management, Shannon Flynn serves as a copywriter and copyeditor for Catalyst. Since joining the Catalyst team in January 2016, Shannon has written and edited content and kept client projects moving forward.

Shannon earned both her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her law degree from The Ohio State University. After law school, Shannon worked as an attorney before deciding to follow her true passion and become a writer.

From her beginnings as a contributing writer for a women’s health website, to her current role as a copywriter and editor, Shannon has always had an interest in writing about healthcare and medicine. She also writes for several well-known deal websites that provide savings tips for shoppers.

For fun, Shannon enjoys playing the piano, doing yoga and Pilates, dancing, volunteering, reading, trying new restaurants in the booming Columbus, Ohio food scene and spending time with her friends and family.

I eloped and bought my first house during the pandemic (June 2020).
As a child, I wanted to be a “map-maker” or the president when I grew up.
I have a super sweet Coton de Tulear named Gatsby who is named for my favorite book.
I think the mountains and the beach are beautiful, but I prefer the desert.

Travel to Indonesia to see orangutans.
Swim in the ocean and see an octopus.
Make the perfect tres leches cake.
Visit Spain and Barcelona with my husband.
