Ellen Decareau

Ellen has more than 15 years of experience in medical and healthcare public relations. She started her career in Boston at the American Cancer Society. Later, she worked for the biotechnology company, Dyax Corp., to promote the market launch of the company’s first drug product.

Looking for sunnier weather, the Miami native moved with her family to Austin. There, she joined the hospital network, Ascension Health/Seton Healthcare Family. In 2015, she broke out on her own and started D+A (Decareau + Associates), offering public relations services to a wide range of medical and healthcare organizations.

Ellen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Boston College and a Master of Science in Communications Management from Simmons College. You can often find her walking around Town Lake struggling to contain her overly energetic Old English Bulldog, Elvis.
